  • Hey kids,

Just wanted to write a quick note to say thank you to everyone who came out to Phase Fest in Washington, DC. The show ROCKED!
It was an amazing experience to perform with Brian Viglione and Tobi Parks and I am sure it’s an experience that will be repeated.
A little up date on what’s up for the next few days…
If you live in Toronto, I will be Busking For Warchild, an amazing charitable event tha puts me unplugged on the streets of Toronto.
I will be doing 2 half hour sets, 1 right in front of the Horseshoe Tavern on Queen St. West at 12-12:30 PM. The second, right in front of the Much Music offices (CTV Buildng) also on Queen St. West from 1:30-2 PM.
Please come down and spare some change for children from war torn countries. Every penny helps!
As for touring, we are currently planning and will let you know as soon as we can when we’ll be coming to a town near you.
As you all know, we had a little glitch with the band and that put our touring plans on hold so just hang tight because we now have our resources sussed out and will be making our way to you.
Love you all and thank you for your ongoing support. I couldn’t do this without you.

  • Dear Cliks Fans,

I am sorry to announce that Morgan Doctor and Jen Benton have decided to leave The Cliks to pursue their own ambitions.

To be blunt, the road beat us up and knocked us out. When we all woke up, we each saw a different road ahead. These things happen, it’s that simple. I respect their decision and hope you will as well.

So what can I say kids, I started this alone, 3 albums and 8 line ups later, in the words of Sir Elton John, “I’m still standing”.

I am as stubborn as a mule and sometimes not the easiest person to work with but that is only because I demand and expect no less than 100% from the people I work with and that will never change and I will never apologize for it.

I started this band as a vehicle for my music and that is exactly what I will continue to do.

And come on now, I am no stranger to change. Line up changes, sex changes, you know, it’s all part of the big plan ☺

So for now, a little patience is required while I look to the new exciting line up that is to be the next Cliks!

So if you want a glimpse of our future candidates come to our show in Washington, DC on September 26th where we will have Brian Viglione of Dresden Dolls fame on drums. http://www.myspace.com/brianviglione

And just think of all the new crushes you can have on the new members!

Maybe we can have so many ongoing member changes that we can start a trading card series. Now that’s a good idea!

Everyone will all sit at shows trying to trade their doubles and the conversations will sound like this:

Girl #1 -”Hey, I have 2 Heidi Chans and no Morgan Doctor. I’ll trade you.”
Girl #2 “No way, I already have a Heidi Chan, how about you give me your Jen Benton for an Ezri Kaysen?”
Girl #1 – “Do you have any idea how long it took me to get this Ezri Kaysen? That is a really rare card. Only 20 in existence. No way. I had to trade one of my Lucas Silveira’s before top surgery for it.”
Girl# 2-”Well forget it then. You suck. Wanna make out?”
    Girl#1- “Ok.”

Thank you all so much for your ongoing support and for seeing me through thick and thin. I’m a survivor and ain’t nothing gonna keep me down.

Sandra Berhnard said it best about her fans…”Without you, I’m nothing.”

    With love and gratitude,
    Lucas Silveira
